The Silicon Photonics Forum 2011 gave opportunity to industry and academic researchers and research managers to learn about prototyping silicon photonic ICs. ePIXfab is the European R&D foundry initiative for silicon photonic ICs and offers cost-effective prototyping for R&D.
The Silicon Photonics Forum 2011 was attended by over 50 participants and 28 Live streaming audiences from around the world. The food chain from design to prototyping and packaging was discussed by experts, as well as the future needs. For newcomers to the field, a silicon photonics tutorial was organized 9AM-10AM CET.
