PhotonFAB organizes training courses to lower the barriers of entry into this emerging technology.

The yearly training course covers technology, design and MPW operation subjects for current and future designers of silicon photonic ICs. The course is intended to reduce the barriers for prototyping a (first) design through ePIXfab. The course is intended mainly for those who will actually design the circuits.

The 3-hour silicon photonics tutorial is intended for a wider public with a technical background. It covers subjects the basics of silicon photonic waveguides, passive devices, active devices, integration, and applications. Based on use cases, the wide range of applications is demonstrated.

ePIXfab is in discussion with design software companies to offer training on their software applied to ePIXfab.

In case of a sufficient number of attendees or specific needs, dedicated training on ePIXfab MPW or silicon photonics can be discussed.
